What are clear aligners or Invisalign?

Invisalign or clear aligners are an orthodontic application system used to treat twisted and crowded teeth without using traditional wires. A series of clear plastic trays are made using 3D digital models of your teeth. Patients wear these custom trays atleast for 22 hours a day, except while brushing or eating your meals.

The teeth are slowly shifted into proper alignment over a series of trays. Each tray slightly different than the last one to assist in the transition of the teeth into their new position.

Clear aligners are generally well received due to its many advantages. One of the top reasons is that it is perfectly camouflaged. There is no anxiety in taking pics or meeting strangers. Another advantage is that it is easy to clean your teeth while using the clear aligners. You can brush and floss your teeth like normal and there’s no need to avoid foods that could harm braces.

Also, there is no need to make regular visits to Dentistry at University  for wire compression. Rather, you can simply change aligner trays every couple of weeks.
